The Circle Semillon is grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle sub-region of Hawke’s Bay. Warm, even growing conditions and free draining silt over red metal gravels provide perfect growing conditions.

Fruit for this reserve wine is hand harvested and whole bunch pressed, with cloudy juice sent to ferment. A total of 20% of the juice is fermented in old French oak barriques, with the balance in stainless steel. This provides a more fruit forward portion to blend with the warmer barrel portion. The barrel portion is also put through a malolactic fermentation to add breadth and texture to the palate. The wine then remained on gross lees in tank and barrel with some battonage for added palate weight, before bottling four months after harvest. It has benefitted from time in bottle.
